This is the 3rd out of 3 of the same image I made, however in each there is a different background color. White, gray, blueish. Wasn't sure which one people would like the most, so I have all 3 of them.
:Note: Here is the list of all of the brushes I used in my vector pieces. Some might not be in some images, and some might be. Hopefully I didn't miss any brushes that I used, I don't think I did though Brushes I Use: People Silhouettes/Vehicles/Soldiers/Accessories: Land (floating too) /Clouds/Rays/Trees/Moons/Birds: [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] All Brushes owned by their respective owners. Critiques
The artist's use of colour is good; a soft, blue fade in the sky with small portions of red and yellow at the bottom of the picture. Because blue is predominant the two other colours stand out more and force the viewer to examine the scene in better detail.
I love how only silhouetted figures can be seen because this causes the viewer to think more: What's going on? What are we missing? Why are these people being shot?
Of course, the silhouetted figures chosen for this image create much interest as well. We see an otherwise peaceful field with trees and a crescent moon overhead. But there are also people running and shooting and getting shot. In a way, it's a very interesting contrast between war and peace.
Overall, the effects used and the concept in this are very simple. However, the simplicity of this image and the strength of its message are what make it so intriguing.
